Today’s article talks about easy ways to create free leads even in a bad economy. Knowing how to generate leads that become long-term customers will keep your business up and running no matter what is happening in the economy. Here are 3 easy ways to generate some qualified free leads for your business. One technique has worked particularly well for me. My company has some very unique products that are specific to certain ‘niches.’ Investigate groups, companies, fairs, networking or vendor events where your niche market will be. Get a table and interact with people. Hand out flyers, cards or better yet, sample products! Ask them if they would like more information. Have them fill out an address slip so you can send them a brochure or catalog or a ‘thank you for stopping by my table’ card. Make sure it includes Name, Address, Telephone and Email address. Viola! Immediate free leads for your follow-up!

Giveaways Generate Free Leads

Another easy and great way to get free leads for your business is to do a giveaway. Have people put their name, number, telephone and email in the ‘bowl’ and do a drawing. If you own a storefront business, do a monthly raffle and have customers who come in enter the drawing. One person will win, but all the others are free leads. Call them and tell them the drawing is over for the month, but offer them a discount on any product for their participation in the drawing!

Generating Free Leads With A Referral System

I’ve also generated free leads through my referral system. I offer a considerable discount, coupon or free product to my current customers for referrals. Referrals must purchase a product. My home based business has a specialty product where the profit is $56 per sale. I had one customer give six referrals. Each referral was then offered the following: Bring in 5 people who purchase the specialty product and get any product they want at wholesale price! All 6 of them brought in 5 more people equaling 30 specialty sales! You’d be amazed at the number of free leads you can obtain through this ‘referral’ system. It keeps the regular customers coming in on a recurring basis. It keeps the new customers (the referrals) coming back as well. These free leads generate a constant stream of sales and income.

Unique Ways To Get Free Leads In Bad Times

So today we’ve learned that even in a bad economy, you can generate free leads by offering customers what they need and by saving them money. One way is to participate and network at vendor events or networking groups. Another method is to do a Giveaway. Finally a referral system works like a charm. You don’t always have to pay for software to generate leads, pay for leads or beat the streets trying to find customers. People need our products! Sometimes just thinking of creative ways to please, interest, entertain and most importantly save the customer money will bring them back for more.
