Today’s article is about work from home leads, lead cooperatives, how they work and where to get good leads.  A lead cooperative is one method of lead generation where people work together with one person who gives them free leads to help them grow their businesses.  The work from home leads in a lead cooperative are free leads. In a lead cooperative, they are always free leads that are already qualified.  You only have to start your business.  You then allow the person with whom you are working to supply you your work from home leads.  There are a couple of ways this can work, though one method is more sustainable.  The first way is where the enroller builds your business for you.  The second method is where you get leads, understanding that they’re looking to hear from you to enroll in your business.  I recommend the second method of working with a lead cooperative, but today, I’ll share reasons why the first method isn’t sustainable and can hurt your business long-term.

When you are looking to start a home business, you need work from home leads.  With targeted work from home leads, your business will grow.  You’ll make money.  When I first started working from home, someone sold me an email lead generation tool.  I got nearly 10,000 email leads a month and had to place them on my autoresponder.  The problem was that at least 3-5 others had received my leads as part of their email autoresponder too!  My leads weren’t unique, and they weren’t free leads.  Over time, I was wasting money every month, so I stopped.  I needed my own lead generation system, but didn’t know how to build it, and no one would show me how.  Out of frustration, I ended up creating a lead cooperative to offer work from home leads to people like me who would work hard but just needed a little extra help getting started.

I’d heard of businesses where people do the enrolling work for their entire organization.  Initially, I thought that was a great way to encourage people to work with me.  The problem was that nearly everyone I worked with was lazy.  They were nice people, but I was doing all their work.  In the back of my mind, however, I knew there were people in the world with great work ethic who wanted financial freedom too.  After losing some customers, I started over again, targeting people willing to call the free leads I handed to them.

When you give work from home leads to people and do their enrolling, you’re empowering laziness.  People expect to do nothing yet earn income.  This isn’t realistic.  We all appreciate success we earn!  That’s human nature.  In the end, I learned good leads shouldn’t be thrown away, especially work from home leads.  To create loyalty, they have to be free leads as well.  I realized that the good leads I was giving should be treated as precious.

After a short training, people in the lead cooperative are given free leads, and they call and enroll them.  It is a community process.  The leads are pre-closed, have seen a presentation, know what our business is, and only need to enroll.  If you do all the work for your team, you’ll burn out.  You can even reach the place where you don’t like your business anymore.  It’s draining getting complaints from people without appreciation for your service.  Free, work from home leads are very rare!  Require people to call the pre-closed leads, and you’ll avoid this pain.  I hope this helped.
